What happened?! (outage 10/8 to 10/13)

Hello all, As you may have noticed, RadioCapture suffered from a fairly long outage where no audio was available from any receive site. This was because both SSDs that were supporting the database failed, most likely due to extreme write fatigue. RC's website runs on a single server hosted in downto...

Re: New P25 Systems?

Replying to myself to add, if anyone wants to "sponsor" infrastructure for a specific system or geo-area, I'd be happy to work with you via Patreon.

Re: New P25 Systems?

While I'd really like to go in the direction of allowing all user submitted content, unfortunately that would require significant amounts of infrastructure to support the quantity of data. From a technical standpoint this is a fairly easy problem to solve, but from a cost standpoint I can't afford t...

Re: Time display on timeline hover

Hey, thanks for the feedback, I'm not sure it'll ever get done, but I'll put it somewhere on the todo list! As far as how it works, it's a series of Gnuradio applications that do channelization, demodulation, and decoding. The majority of the code is custom, although it makes use of some open source...

Opened up all of these except 4, RC has never seen 4 so I can't add it yet.

Re: Grand County?

Hey sorry, your post got a bit lost in the spam... RadioCapture RF sites are actually pretty pricey to setup, as they require computers, a bunch of SDRs, and some specialty receive hardware (mostly a multicoupler and high quality antenna). I'm not currently planning on expanding anywhere as I've sun...

Re: Colorado Springs Area Duplicates

Unfortunately some of that is unavoidable at the moment when Colorado Springs talkgroups are also active on sites that are received by the Denver radios. Because Colorado Springs and Denver run different versions of the code at the moment, there is no way to synchronize simultaneous calls between th...

Re: "Click to Jump to Real Time"

Hrm if you refresh you should definitely have the latest content, just a reminder that the content is top to bottom, and that little notice will pop up almost instantly if you're listening to so many talk groups that you are adding more audio than there is time in the day, which is actually surprisi...

Re: Patched Channels

Thanks for the Feedback Josh, I'll try to take a look soon... Probably what is a bit more likely is just a completely re-write of the web interface.
